Harri (Harriet) Hall is brimming over with happiness since returning to her ancestral home, The Hall and her eccentric, big-hearted family. But her blissful state has more to do with meeting the love of her life, Lance Knightly.

Now her greatest wish is for her stepsister, Merrion, her stepbrother, Ralph, and Lance’s younger sister, Gwen to find similar joy. And what better way is there to hurry love along than dancing beneath a starlit sky?

Harri’s convinced that with some careful planning she can get her wish. But Love it seems, may already have plans of its own…

It was a joy to be back in Harriet Hall's world, with her wonderfully nutty family, and her boyfriend Lance, and his sisters Gwen.  I thoroughly enjoyed my return visit to The Hall, set just a few months after Deck The Halls. It can though be read as a standalone book really easily even though its the second book in a series.

I love Harri, she just wants the best for everyone and wants them all as loved up as she is but her best intentions aren't always subtle nor are they always wanted.   In amongst the chaos that seems to surround her and her family there are a lot of laughs to be had.

There are plenty of animals in the book too, especially near the start, as Harri is also trying to raise funds the Hall's rescue centre.  In fact there is a conversation about Harri wanting to adopt a dog, which had me laughing out loud, at the escalation factor, with her stepmother! Without giving it away its characteristic of Harri's dynamics with everyone.

As is befitting a book by Emily Harvale, it is written incredibly well, in a witty style that was easy to read and thoroughly enjoyable. I'm really hoping this isn't the last we have seen of this series, given how much I love all the characters and the stories they have been involved in so far.

Thank you to Emily Harvale for this copy of the book which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
